Spring!!!
Well, I would say that Spring has finally arrived in Manitoba! Oh how we miss the sunny DR! But, for our first winter home, I would say that it wasn't bad. The girls absolutely loved it. I think the only complaining we heard was probably from me ( I never liked the winter even when we lived here).
The girls are growing and growing, way too fast for my liking. Terry usually has some pretty good stories that take place between him and Hazel, in the early hours of the morning when I'm still sleeping (Okay, 8 0'clock isn't that early to some). Hazel will often come down the stairs, still half asleep and ask Terry straight-faced questions. Here's what one sounded like the other day: (say it in a sleepy, husky voice, completely serious)
Hazel: Where you going daddy?
Terry: to work
H: What do you do at work?
T: I teach kids.
H: What do you teach them?
T: about electricity and lights and how it works
H: You mean like this? (turning on the light switch)
T: yeah, like that, how it works
H: You mean you teach them about this (turning it on and off again)
T: yeah
H: (totally serious and a little confused) walks over to the light switch again, turns it on and says, "you mean, they don't know how to do this?
Luna just repeats everything Hazel says and does. She finally learned Hazel's name about 2 days ago and will not stop saying it. Hazel keeps asking her what she wants and she only repeats it more. Very funny to watch. Here's some pictures.
Taking a break, throwing rocks, coming home from Fargo
Taking another, unexpected, break at the border. We got a flat tire as we were driving away from customs.
