Ever Wonder What Happened To...
Ever wonder what happened to all those new products that the big companies thought would be such a hit but we (North Americans) just couldn't be convinced about. For example, remember when Coca-Cola came out with Vanilla Coke and Pepsi, being the losers they are, came back with the ever popular Pepsi Blue. Well, nobody liked it, therefore nobody bought it. Do you ever stop to think of what became of those millions of excess bottles?
Have you ever seen a good idea on a TV infomercial, probably sponsered by K-tel? You know the 10-in-one cheesegrater that not only grates cheese but also slices and dices and then keeps it all stored in a nice neat container? Ever wonder what happened to those after people ordered them and found out it was all just cheap plastic and it only mutilated your cheese instead of grating it?
Remember those jelly candies that were outlawed in North America a few years ago because little children would suck them out of the plastic containers and they would lodge in their throats and choke them. Do you think they just threw them all away after they were banned?
What about Old Navy and the millions of stupid t-shirts they make, like pink ones with kitten faces drawn on them, for example.
Ever been to an amusement park and in the far back is that rechity old ferris wheel that you wouldn't dare to go on because the ghosts of all the people it's killed still haunt it? After awhile the amusement park doesn't want it anymore either. Ever wonder where they send it?
Well, we've ridden it, drank it, wore it and bought it all since we've been here. It's been fun seeing what "new" products the DR is going to come out with next.

at least your not thirsty, naked, and unentertained...
Aaaah, but now there's diet cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper. Wonder if it's the next 'new' thing in the DR in 3 years.
That's halarious. I've never had any of the beverage flavors you're talking about but i did nearly choke on one of those jelly things. I see now why they banned them in the states. I still eat them occasionally but more carefully. Nice to see your blog. -Regan (from JCS)
